Material Inspection and Preparation
Before installation, verify the warranty certificate of the waterstop, check whether the thickness and hardness meet the design requirements, and ensure the surface is free of cracks, bubbles, or impurities.
Positioning and laying out
Mark the centerline of the waterstop according to the drawing, with an error of less than 5mm, to ensure complete alignment with the centerline of the deformation joint.
Fixed spacing
Fixed with steel reinforcement clamps, with a horizontal spacing of ≤ 40cm and a vertical spacing of ≤ 30cm, and increased to 30cm at turning points to avoid displacement.
Joint processing
During hot melt welding, the overlap length should be ≥ 10cm, the temperature should be controlled at 140-160 ℃, and the time should be 10-15 minutes to ensure airtightness.
Corner reinforcement
Cut the corners at a 45 ° angle and strengthen the seal with special adhesive to prevent stress concentration.
Layered pouring of concrete
First pour the lower part of the waterstop, compact it with vibration, and then cover the upper part. The distance between the vibration rod and the waterstop should be ≥ 15cm.
Finished product protection
Cover the exposed parts with wooden boards or plastic film to avoid exposure to sunlight and mechanical damage, and conduct daily inspections during the maintenance period.
