The installation of bridge bearings is a crucial step to ensure the stability of the bearings and the transfer of loads
1. Preparations before installing bridge bearings
Pad stone inspection: Remove debris from the surface of the pad stone, chisel it, and check the position and size of the embedded holes to ensure that there are no defects such as cracks or honeycombs
Setting out and positioning: Use a total station to re measure the centerline and elevation of the cushion stone, draw the cross line of the support, and ensure accurate positioning
Material preparation: Check the model and specifications of the support, clean the PTFE plate and stainless steel plate for the sliding support, and eliminate the air between the rubber block and the bottom of the bowl for the bowl support
2. Installation process of bridge bearings
Support in place: Lift the support above the cushion stone, align it with the cross line, and fix the anchor bolts or embedded steel plates
Grouting fixation: Gravity grouting method is adopted, and cement mortar containing expansion agent is continuously injected to avoid interruption. After grouting, leakage is checked and grouting is supplemented
Temporary support: Temporary support should be set up during the installation of prefabricated beams, and the connecting steel plates and bolts should be removed after the beam is lowered
3. Precautions for installing bridge bearings
Tightness: The support should be completely tightly attached to the bottom of the beam and the cushion stone to avoid detachment or eccentric stress. If necessary, galvanized steel plates can be used for adjustment
Environmental requirements: Insulation measures must be taken during winter construction, and the strength of the cushion stone concrete must meet the standard.
Acceptance criteria: The deviation, elevation, and flatness of the support center must comply with the specifications, and the sliding surface of the movable support must be kept clean
