What are the inspection items for rubber waterstops?

Basic inspection

Appearance Quality: Inspect the surface for flatness, ensuring no defects such as bubbles, cracks, missing adhesive, or spongy textures. Bubbles with a diameter ≤1mm must not exceed 3 per meter; impurities with an area ≤4mm must not exceed 3 per meter.

Dimensional tolerance: The measured dimensions such as width and thickness must comply with standard requirements (e.g., width deviation ≤ ±5mm, thickness deviation ≤ ±0.5mm).

Physical and mechanical properties

Hardness: Tested according to the GB/T 531.1 standard, the Shore hardness must meet the requirements.
Tensile strength and elongation at break: Tensile strength ≥ 10MPa, elongation at break ≥ 300%.

Compression permanent deformation: After being compressed at high temperature (70 ℃) for 22 hours, the deformation rate is ≤ 30%.
Tear strength: ≥ 25kN/m.

Aging resistance performance

Hot air aging: Aging at 100 ℃ for 72 hours, with a tensile strength retention rate of ≥ 80%.
Ozone aging: Evaluating the performance changes of waterstops during long-term use.

adhesive property

Test the adhesion strength between rubber and metal, especially the steel edge composite waterstop

Medium resistance performance

Conduct tests for water resistance, alkali resistance, oil resistance, etc., with a volume change rate of ≤ 10%

Other specialized tests

Weather resistance: high and low temperature impact, cyclic testing.
Mold resistance: Evaluate the level of mold resistance.
Adhesive properties with concrete: peel strength, shear strength.
