Our high damping rubber bearings (HDR) are classified into bridge high damping rubber bearings and building high damping rubber bearings. Both types adopt high-quality high damping rubber formula, available in circular and square designs, with adjustable damping ratio to meet different seismic isolation project requirements.

Classification of High Damping Rubber Bearings by Functional Type

Fixed High Damping Seismic Isolation Bearing: The displacement of the bearing is realized by rubber shear deformation. The horizontal shear of rubber can bear large horizontal force. Structurally, it is divided into Type I, Type II and Type III. The seismic isolation function is achieved through large horizontal shear deformation and hysteretic energy dissipation of the high damping rubber.

Sliding High Damping Seismic Isolation Bearing: The bearing displacement relies on the sliding friction pair composed of PTFE sliding plate and stainless steel plate on the top surface. The low friction coefficient enables the bearing to bear small friction force, and the seismic isolation effect is realized by sliding of the friction pair.

The vertical load transfer process of the HDR series high damping rubber bearing:

Girder → Upper Embedded Steel Plate → Upper Connecting Steel Plate → Upper End Plate → High Damping Rubber and Reinforcing Steel Plate Laminated Structure → Lower End Plate → Lower Connecting Steel Plate → Pier Abutment.

The seismic horizontal load transfer process of the HDR series high damping rubber bearing:

Pier Abutment → Lower Anchor Assembly → Lower Connecting Steel Plate → Shear Key, Lower End Plate → High Damping Rubber and Reinforcing Steel Plate Laminated Structure → Upper End Plate, Shear Key → Upper Connecting Steel Plate → Upper Embedded Steel Plate → Transmitted to the Girder via Upper Anchor Assembly.
