Spherical Bearings consist of an upper load plate, a lower load plate, a convex intermediate plate, and two differently shaped PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) plates.
These bearings ensure reliable load transfer and provide uniform rotational performance in all directions. Combining the high load capacity and large horizontal displacement of pot bearings with the ability to accommodate large rotation angles, they are ideally suited for wide bridges and curved bridges. Since the load-bearing components do not incorporate rubber elements, issues such as rubber’s low-temperature brittleness are eliminated, making them particularly suitable for low-temperature regions.
