The water-swellable waterstop strip is also known as the PZ molded water-swellable waterstop strip. It is a new type of waterproof material that not only has the properties of ordinary rubber products but also features self-swelling when in contact with water. Its water-stopping and waterproofing effects are more reliable than those of ordinary rubber waterstop strips.

The molded water-swellable rubber strips produced by our company have the following characteristics:

A. The rubber generates a swelling deformation of at least 2 to 5 times when exposed to water, filling all irregular surfaces, cavities and gaps of the joints, and at the same time producing enormous contact pressure to completely prevent water seepage.

B. When displacement occurs at joints or construction joints, resulting in gaps exceeding the elastic range of the material, ordinary rubber waterstop materials will lose their water-stopping effect, while this product can still achieve water-stopping through water absorption and swelling.

C. Using water-swellable rubber as a water plugging, sealing and water-stopping material not only saves the dosage, but also eliminates the elastic fatigue of ordinary elastic materials caused by excessive compression, making the waterproof effect more reliable, with excellent water resistance, chemical resistance and aging resistance.

D. It is mainly applied to the waterproofing of cast-in-place joints in shield tunneling construction, deformation joints of buildings, waterstops for construction joints, as well as the waterproofing of joints of metal components and precast concrete components.
